WHAT ARE DOTS FOR SPOTS?

Dots for Spots are miniature, sticker-like dots that harness hydrocolloid technology to absorb impurities (pus and fluid) from your spots. Sounds too good to be true? They also provide a no-touch healing environment, protecting from breakout causing bacteria.

HOW DOES HYDROCOLLOID TECHNOLOGY WORK?

It’s very simple. Hydrocolloid is an absorbent, flexible and waterproof adhesive, scientifically backed by countless clinical trials. Each high-performance dot creates the optimum conditions for your spot to heal rapidly and safely.

HOW LONG SHOULD I LEAVE THEM ON FOR?

You can tell your dot is ready to be removed when the translucent centre has turned opaque white. We usually recommend a minimum of 6 hours for your dots to do their best work but every spot has a mind of its own so you may need to change it more or less frequently.

DO THEY WORK ON ALL SPOTS?

Dots for Spots work best on spots that have come to a head (ready to pop), although they are a great way to stop the touching, picking and squeezing of any type of spot.

WHAT SKIN TYPES ARE THEY SUITABLE FOR?

Dots for Spots is an inclusive brand for a universal problem and are suitable for all skin types, ages and genders. They are fragrance-, alcohol- and paraben-free, so safe for even the most sensitive skin types.

DO YOU TEST ON ANIMALS?

No we don’t and never will! We’re also proud to say that we’re vegan friendly.

HOW ARE DOTS FOR SPOTS VEGAN?

The hydrocolloid used in Dots for Spots is 100% plant-based, biodegradable and completely free from animal byproducts.

WHERE DO THEY FIT IN MY SKINCARE ROUTINE?

We recommend applying your dots to cleansed, dry skin so you get the best possible results and adhesion. Once applied, you can then continue with your regular morning or nightly routine.

CAN I USE THEM ON A POPPED SPOT?

We do not advise popping your spots but understand that everyone is human and mistakes can happen! If you’ve popped your spot, a dot will help drain any remaining fluid and protect from any further damage.

ARE THEY SAFE TO USE WITH OTHER ACNE PRODUCTS?

Our dots contain zero active ingredients so will complement your existing acne-care routine perfectly. We recommend consulting your doctor/dermatologist before using them with any prescription acne treatments.

ARE DOTS FOR SPOTS WATERPROOF?

As long as your dot is initially applied to clean, dry skin, you should be fine to have a quick rinse or dip!

DO I NEED TO PATCH TEST?

If you have sensitive or allergic skin, we always recommended doing a patch test. Please note that a patch test is only for determining initial irritation reactions to the product and does not guarantee similar results when applied to other areas of the body or after continuous use. If you are concerned about using Dots for Spots, please consult your doctor or dermatologist prior to use.

CAN I USE THEM WHEN PREGNANT OR NURSING?

Our dots contain zero active ingredients so are safe to use while pregnant or nursing. If in doubt, always check with your doctor or obstetrician first.

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY DOTS ONCE OPENED?

We recommend storing your dots in their protective pouch, ideally at room temperature. Extreme temperatures (hot or cold) could potentially compromise the efficacy of your dots.

Shipping

DO DOTS FOR SPOT SHIP TO MY COUNTRY?

We currently ship throughout the UK. We’ll be adding new countries to our shipping destinations soon, sign up to our newsletter to be the first in the know.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR POSTAGE?

Delivery within the UK for a 2-day standard service is £2.50 or can be expressed for £3.95. For orders over £25, standard postage is on us!

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept payments via Apple Pay, PayPal, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro & American Express.

WHEN WILL YOU SHIP MY ORDER?

Shipping will depend on the delivery option you choose and the time of day the order is placed. All orders placed before 1pm GMT from Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) will be prepared and shipped the same day, while orders placed after 1pm GMT will be prepared the next working day. Fulfilment times may vary during peak periods. We currently do not deliver on weekends or take responsibility for parcels that are signed for by anyone other than the intended recipient.

WILL MY ORDER BE TRACKED?

Yes, all our orders are sent via a tracked service.

I’M HAVING ISSUES ENTERING MY ADDRESS?

If you’re having issues with entering your address, please double check that you’ve selected the correct country and that you’ve entered your details in the correct format. We currently only ship within the UK.

MY PAYMENT HAS BEEN DECLINED?

If your payment has been declined, please check that your card hasn’t expired and you’ve entered all of your card credentials correctly, including your billing address. If you’re still having issues placing your order, please contact your bank directly.

DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNT CODES?

You can subscribe to our newsletter for 10% off your first order. We do not have any additional active discount or promotional codes as we like to keep our prices as affordable as possible all year round!

HOW DO I USE MY DISCOUNT CODE?

You can redeem your discount on the checkout page. Simply enter your code in the ' add a discount code' field then click 'apply'.

ARE THERE CONDITIONS TO A DISCOUNT CODE?

Discount codes cannot be applied to previously placed orders. They are not valid in combination with any other discount codes, promotions, free gifts, set discounts, or other temporarily lowered prices. Discount codes are only valid on orders at www.dotsforspots.com.

WHERE IS MY ORDER?

You will receive a shipping confirmation once your order has been dispatched. You can then check the status of your order in your account under ‘Order history’.

Please be aware that due to social distancing restrictions and an increased number of orders mean that our delivery times are currently longer than usual. All our orders are picked and packed by hand, our warehouse staff members are currently processing orders placed 0-1 days ago.

We know that ordering new skincare products is exciting and we are so sorry that you are waiting longer than usual to receive yours. Please know that we are doing everything we can to get your order to you as quickly and safely as possible.

I NEED TO CANCEL OR CHANGE MY ORDER?

Unfortunately, we’re unable to make amends to your order once it’s been processed. If you would like to cancel your order, please contact hello@dotsforspots within one hour of purchase and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request, but cannot guarantee it. If your order has already been shipped, we will be unable to cancel it.

I’VE RECEIVED THE WRONG ORDER?

In the unlikely scenario that our dispatch team processes your order incorrectly, please contact hello@dotsforspots.com with your order number and we will get this rectified for you as quickly as possible.

I WOULD LIKE TO REFUND MY ORDER?

We’re really sorry to hear that! If you believe your product is faulty please contact hello@dotsforspots.com and we will do our best to look into it for you. We are unable to accept returns or process refunds for allergic reactions or skin conditions. Always read the ingredients and directions of use before placing your order. Please note, faulty items must be declared within 30 days of purchase and shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable.
